“Pokemon”

The worldwide hit of the last 17 years, the series introduced the idea of collecting monsters that can be stored in globular canisters. Pokemon is even famous today with its latest video game iteration “Pokemon Go.”

The media franchise concerns a preteen boy named Ash who dreams of becoming the greatest Pokemon master of all time. His quest is complemented by his search for rare Pokemon to help with his mentor Professor Oak’s research as he travels the world. On his way, he meets several friends who at first were “Gym Leaders,” Brock and Misty, and tries to defeat the criminal actions of Team Rocket.

The game propelled the series’ fame to new heights as it included the original anime storyline, giving the players full immersion in handling and fighting with their own set of Pokemon against the game’s trainers and real-life players.
